Kenya's oil imports... what is going on?
Historically, Kenya imported petroleum products from a dozen countries. In a single month, it imported petroleum products from 5-6 countries. Now only from two countries as shown in Figure (1) below!
What happened? The country has no money to pay for oil imports. Payments are deferred, but prices Kenya are paying too high! This is not sustainable!
