IN DETAIL

  • US crude oil inventories fell by 0.961 mb to 422.824 mb last week, per the EIA.

  • Cushing inventories decreased by 0.770 mb to 21.231 mb.

  • The SPR increased by 0.819 mb to 408.564 mb.

  • Gasoline inventories decreased by 2.147 mb to 216.679 mb

  • Distillate inventories declined by 1.479 mb to 115.551 mb.

  • US crude oil imports increased by 0.393 mb/d to 5.918 mb/d, while crude exports decreased by 0.263 mb/d to 4.203 mb/d.

  • The EIA estimates US oil demand grew by 0.289 mb/d last week to 20.014 mb/d.

  • Refinery utilization increased from 85.7% to 88.6%, with gross crude inputs into refineries increasing from 15.568 mb/d to 16.090 mb/d.
