Oil-directed rig count in tight plays is increasing (with 7 charts)

The uptick in oil-directed rig count did not last, but the gas-directed rig count declined as expected. However, we continue to believe that if the positive sentiment continues, we will see a larger increase in the oil rig count, especially in the Permian.
